PORTFOLIO INSPECTION AND ASSESSMENT PROGRAMMES
Multi-site compliance programmes across a property portfolio
Running compliance one building at a time is how portfolios end up with forty different report formats, no single view of outstanding actions and an assessment cycle that quietly drifts out of date. A programme puts the whole estate on one schedule, with one contractor accountable for delivering it.
The desk scopes the programme against your actual site list, approaches the market anonymously, and confirms that the firms coming back can genuinely cover your geography with their own people. Free to the portfolio owner or operator.

What we check before a firm reaches your shortlist
- Whether stated national coverage holds against your actual postcode list, or falls away outside the contractor's home region.
- Who attends site. On portfolio work the company on the contract is frequently not the company in the van.
- Capacity against your site count and timescale, confirmed by the firm before they reach your shortlist.
- Accreditation matched to every line in scope, not a single certification stretched across all of them.
- Reporting format and data output, because a programme that produces forty PDFs has not solved the problem.
- Financial standing proportionate to the contract value and term.
Common questions
We have forty sites and nine different providers. Is consolidating actually better?
Usually, but not always. Consolidation buys you one schedule, one reporting format and one accountable party. It costs you the local specialist who knows a difficult building. The honest answer depends on how geographically spread the portfolio is and how unusual the worst buildings are. We will tell you where consolidation helps and where it does not.
Can one contractor genuinely cover the whole country?
Some can. Many claim to and deliver it through subcontractors you never meet. We ask directly who attends site, and we check whether the coverage claim survives contact with your actual postcodes rather than a map on a website.
What do you need from us to start?
A site list with building types, the service lines in scope, and whatever is already on paper: existing reports, current provider, contract end dates, any outstanding actions. If the asset data is incomplete, say so. A programme built on a bad site list fails in month three.
How do you handle sites that are already under contract?
We work to the end dates you give us and scope the programme to take them on as they fall in. Breaking a contract that still has value in it is rarely worth doing, and we will say so.
Is there a cost to the portfolio owner?
No. The desk is free to building owners, operators, managing agents and public bodies. We are paid by the contractor you appoint, and only if you appoint one.
